China railway in US$ 3 billion contract wins

Chinese state-owned contractor China Railway Construction has won three new domestic contracts worth CNY 19.5 billion (US$ 3.1 billion) for housing, commercial and earthmoving projects.

The company said recent wins included a CNY 8 billion (US$ 1.3 billion) earthmoving contract for Shanxi Huarui Jiewang Coal won by its subsidiary China Railway 12^th Bureau Group. It said the project was scheduled to take 10 years to complete.

Meanwhile, China Railway also won a CNY 7.5 billion (US$ 1.2 billion) contract in partnership with Beijing Ruixin Antai Entrepreneurship & Investment for the construction of the Beijing Cultural Silicon Valley - a project to develop meeting, exhibition and performance venues that is planned to occupy an area of 370000 m².

China Railway 25^th Bureau Group Construction & Installation Engineering, another subsidiary of China Railway, also won a CNY 4 billion (US$ 626 million) contract for a housing project in Dalongwan, Sihui City, in Guangdong Province.
