Australian rental company Coates Hire has been named the official rental equipment partner for the Australian Football League (AFL) for 2014 and 2015.

Coates Hire group manager of strategic marketing, Jeremy Hill, said the deal would enable the company to promote its brand and rental equipment.

“Coates Hire will play an integral role in ensuring the AFL’s major events run as smoothly as possible. We will be supplying generators, power distribution units, lighting towers, temporary buildings and a range of other infrastructure,” he added.

AFL general manager for commercial operations, Darren Birch, said the organisation was pleased to partner with a leading Australian company that had a comprehensive national footprint.

He added, “The AFL has a diverse range of official partners across a host of commercial categories, and we are pleased to add a new category of hire equipment with Coates Hire now coming on board as part of the AFL family.

“The addition of this strong, national Australian brand is warmly welcomed by the AFL and we look forward to working closely with everyone at Coates Hire during 2014 and well into the future.”
