R Collard, the United Kingdom-based demolition, waste management and haulage company, has announced the acquisition of M Collard Waste Management.

The company will assimilate the business, assets and goodwill into its existing operations.

M Collard Waste Management, which has has been trading for 40 years in the south of England, is owned by Mick Collard.

Robert Collard, the managing director of R Collard, is Mick’s son.

The acquisition will increase R Collard’s geographical coverage and make a wider range of products available. The company will now operate five licensed waste transfer stations as well as boosting its number of skips and its HGV fleet, which it believes is vital to its core business of managing demolition waste.

"This step is of enormous significance to me”, said Robert

“I started my career working for my father and at the age of 23 set up on my own. We have always been hugely respectful of each other’s businesses and this allows me to expand into my father’s territory with his blessing.”

R Collard began trading in 1995 and recently held an open day to celebrate 21 years in business. In 2015 the company managed over 500,000 t of waste material.
