Compact gensets join Cummins Power Generation rental range

New compact, transport-optimised 20, 40 and 60 kVA generator sets are the latest additions to Cummins Power Generation’s rental product range.

Cummins is targeting these new generator sets for the specific needs of rental fleet operators with customers in demanding sectors including construction, events, telecoms and manufacturing.

Alongside an extensive selection of standard rental industry features, the new units boast sound attenuated enclosures and long autonomy fuel tanks. Operating in prime power mode at 75% load, Cummins said they offer noise levels as low as 62 dB(A) at 7 m and impressive fuel autonomy of up to 32 hours.

Multiple control options including Cummins PowerCommand, DeepSea and ComAp, help operators achieve fleet consistency and keep training costs down. Robust construction and heavy-duty components minimise total cost of ownership, and service intervals are up to 500 hours.

“We fully expect operators will be stocking up on emissions-compliant generators, if they are not doing so already,” said Gary LaFine, the company’s director - rental business.

“These new generator sets are more fuel efficient, and rental companies will be able to promote their better fuel economy to customers.”

Across the range, service and support are provided by factory-trained technicians throughout Cummins’ network of 600 distributors and 6000 sales and service outlets in 190 countries.
