IAPS Group, the UK’s largest independent powered access distributor, has appointed Steve Couling as its new managing director.

He will join IAPS Group on 1 September from vehicle mounted specialist Versalift UK, part of the Time Manufacturing group, for which he has been managing director for 10 years. He is also president of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), and will continue in this role until the end of its two-year term.

IAPS Group is the largest independent distributor of powered access platforms in the UK. It was formed in 2012 through the merger of Independent Parts and Service (IPS) and Access Platform Sales (APS). It offers nationwide sales of new and used machines and after sales support including parts, mobile service and workshop repair for a wide range of powered access equipment.

Tony Jennings of IAPS Group said, “We are delighted that Steve Couling is joining IAPS Group at an exciting time for the company.”

Mr Couling joined Versalift in 2004 and helped the company consolidate its position as the UK’s leading provider of vehicle-mounted access platforms, added Mr Jennings. Prior to Versalift, Mr Couling was at UpRight, where he worked with several of the IAPS senior management team.
