Finnish rental company Cramo has acquired logistics and telescopic handler specialist Kurottaja- ja Kuljetuspalvelu Parviainen (Parviainen).
Established in 2004, Parviainen is the largest private company in Finland providing telehandler services, operating mainly in Southern Finland.
It recorded revenues of around €3 million in 2015, and sales are expected to grow in 2016, according to Cramo, which added that it would take on all 23 Parviainen employees.
Cramo Finland managing director Tatu Hauhio said, “Cramo started to offer worksite logistics services in Finland last year.
"We are currently strengthening our logistics services business and telescopic handler services are an important part of this offering and the service concept. We foresee this as a growing business area in which Cramo wants to be part of.”
Previously, Cramo has not had large telescopic handlers in its fleet, and it said the equipment gained through the acquisition would complement Cramo’s own service offering and support its logistics services. In the future, Cramo said it would also offer a service which included renting a telehandler together with a driver.
Parviainen former owner Juha Parviainen said that the deal would benefit customers.
“From now on, we can act quickly and organise all needs of the construction industry from one phone number and under the same roof, so this makes us a full-service rental solutions provider,” he said.
“We can create profitable growth in the future by combining the resources of our companies.”
