Construction Simulator 2, a new simulation game for smartphones and tablets, has been launched by German video game publisher Astragon Entertainment.

In the game the player starts out as the owner of a small construction company who follows their dream of becoming the biggest real estate tycoon in the fictional US state of Westside Plains. In order to achieve this, the player can choose from 36 officially licensed construction vehicles by well-known makers, including Liebherr, Palfinger, Bell Equipment, Cat, Atlas and Still. Construction-related activities, including controlling large cranes, loading and transporting building materials, pouring concrete, paving roads and constructing high-rise buildings, can then be carried out. The game’s creators say the game offers hours of fun for all fans of complex construction machinery although we can see crane operators using it to get their ‘crane fix’ when not working.
