Cranes in Top 50 manufacturer list

As many as 15 crane manufacturers feature in International Construction (ICon) magazine's annual Yellow Table survey of the largest 50 construction equipment manufacturers. Terex and Liebherr are in the top five, and other crane suppliers in the list include companies as diverse as Kobelco, Manitowoc, Hiab, Tadano, Palfinger and Kato.
The survey - published in the April issue of ICon, which is a sister magazine to IC - shows that sales from the top 50 manufacturers grew by 32 % in 2004, reaching US$ 86.9 billion. Top of the list was Caterpillar, followed by Komatsu, Terex, Liebherr and Volvo.
