The Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning of Turkey has given its official support to the Demolition Conference Turkey

The Demolition Conference Turkey, at the Marriott Asia Hotel in Istanbul on the 7 March 2013 has gained the official support of the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning of Turkey. the event is being organised jointly by KHL/D&Ri and its Turkish partner Apa Yayincilik,

A ministry official will be one of the opening speakers at the event. New legislation is being put into place by the Turkish government to regulate the demolition and associated recycling required by the planned drive to remove structures at risk from earthquakes. The Turkish construction industry has been waiting for some time for details of these rules, and the event will therefore see the first public presentation of what can be expected.

The remainder of the programme will consist of speakers from around the world, all leading figures in the demolition industry in their countries and internationally, who will cover a variety of topics of interest to the fledgling demolition industry in Turkey. Given that demolition contractors from outside the country will be able to work in joint ventures with Turkish general contractors, the event will therefore be a major networking opportunity.
