Altrex said the change was intended to free Mr Doek to continue the implementation of the group's long-term strategic plan. This envisages the acquisition of both domestic and foreign providers in Altrex's core business areas and, in addition to takeovers, covers the continued optimisation of the company's production facilities.

In January, Altrex started up a distribution operation in Sweden, Altrex Svenska AB, to supply its products into this market. The new company will take over all activities previously carried out by Altrex BV's most recent dealer, Swemab, and will have its own Swedish logistics centre. The subsidiary will be run by Jan Bratowski - an ex-JLG Sverige general manager - who will join Altrex on 1 April.
