Donaldson’s Alpha-Web hydraulic media

At ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023, Donaldson Company announced three new filtration products: Alpha-Web hydraulic media, Synteq DRY coalescing technology and the PowerCore Edge air cleaner.

“Donaldson continues to look for ways to improve upon and overcome equipment and industry challenges,” said Hydraulic Product Manager Uldis Kreslins. “Our latest innovations open the door for new levels of equipment performance and protection.”

Donaldson designed the Alpha-Web hydraulic filtration media with a fine-fiber layer to trap and lock particles during frequent flow-rate changes, and the company said the Alpha-Web improves hydraulic fluid cleanliness by two ISO codes over synthetic media, which extends component life up to 60 percent and means the hydraulic fluid is four times cleaner.

Kreslins said that 75% of hydraulic failures are traced back to contaminated fluid.

“Alpha-Web filtration technology delivers a transformational improvement in hydraulic equipment protection by keeping hydraulic fluid significantly cleaner,” Kreslins said. “Cleaner fluid allows for less downtime and better performance in the field.”

Donaldson’s PowerCore Edge air cleanser

Synteq DRY is a multi-stage, coalescing technology separates and removes water for modern fuel systems and diesel blends.

The PowerCore Edge air cleaner is smaller than similar solutions– it 65% less space, according to Donaldson – and can handle higher temperatures while offering easy servicing with full filtration capability.

“Our continuous advancements in filtration technology help fleet managers maintain high-performing equipment with lower total cost of ownership,” Kreslins said.
