The UK’s Farmington Natural Stone has purchased a new Bobcat TL470 telescopic handler for use at its quarry at Northleach, Gloucestershire.

The new generation TL470 telehandler has a maximum lift capacity of 3.5 tonnes and a maximum forward reach of 4 m. The lift capacity at full height is 3 tonne, while at full reach it is 1,500 kg. It is powered by a 74.5 kW Perkins 1104D-44T diesel engine.

Farmington Natural Stone is using the new Bobcat to lift blocks of stone into place on its hydraulic block splitters. The telescopic handler is also being used to transport 1 tonne bags of Cotswold stone from the base of the quarry to storage sheds at the top.

The company purchased its new Bobcat from Kellands (Plant Sales) Ltd, the Bobcat dealer for southwest England. Farmington Natural Stone also runs a Doosan DL400 wheel loader and Doosan DX300LC excavator, which it also purchased from Kellands.
