UK demolition contractor Clifford Devlin has fast-tracked its way to an ISO14001 compliant environmental system using the collaborative Fast-Track 14 (FT-14) programme in just six months. The company received its FT-14 certificate at construction contractor Laing O’Rourke’s HQ in Dartford, UK, during July along with 13 other members of that company’s supply chain.

FT-14, developed by ISYS International, combines an innovative ISO14001 Toolkit with active participation in peer-group workshops at allows applicants to share experiences and solutions and also exchange knowledge to prepare for formal ISO14001 certification.

According to Paul Clarke-Scholes, Clifford Devlin’s health and safety, quality and environmental manager: “Our business strategy is based on whole life partnerships and this is a key part of our business relationships. Using FT-14, we certainly moved much faster and I am adapting the programme’s process map approach for our OHSAS 18001 systems.” Clifford Devlin, based in London, specialises in inner city projects
