Fokrent orders 150 Manitou telehandlers

15 January 2015

UK-based rental company Forkrent has invested in 150 new compact telehandlers from Manitou, increasing its total order for Manitou MT625 models to 200 machines in 10 months.

Based in Ipswich, Suffolk, Forkrent has experienced year on year double digit growth over the last six years, expanding its fleet size and adding new staff.

Manitou said the latest order was one of the largest placed worldwide for the MT625, which features three steering modes and a tight turning circle and is well-suited to work in restricted building sites.

The MT625 is a four-wheel drive machine with a 2500 kg load capacity, a lift height of 6 m and a forward reach capability of 2.5 m. Manitou said Forkrent ordered the machines with air conditioning, reacting to customer demands for increased operator comfort.
