GAP extends contract with Scottish Water

Scottish Water has extended by three years its rental contract with GAP Group.

Scottish Water has extended by three years its rental contract with GAP Group.

GAP Group in the UK has won a three year extension to its current Scottish Water rental contract that was due to expire in November 2009. The new agreement will now see the contract run until 31 March 2012.

George McGregor, Scottish Water commercial contracts manager, said; "We have worked closely with GAP since the beginning of this framework agreement in 2006. GAP has been very flexible and reliable when dealing with Scottish Water or any of our contracting partners.

"We are delighted to award GAP this extension and are confident that we will continue see the same outstanding level of service for the remainder of the contract term."

GAP has taken on the management of all equipment transactions previously handled in-house by Scottish Water. A rental desk function is operated at GAP's head office in Glasgow on behalf of Scottish Water, covering equipment such as vehicle rental, fusion equipment, pumps and tankers.

GAP Group is the UK's largest independent plant and tool hirer with 59 depots nationwide and corporate office in Glasgow.
