Globram brings back RM 90
09 January 2015
Netherlands-based Globram has added its RM 90 hydraulic breaker back into its hydraulic breaker product line up. When the company launched the RM 88 a number of years ago, demand for the former dropped off substantially, eventually leading to its disappearance from the range although it was still available on demand.
In recent months, Globram had noticed an increased demand for the RM 90 from its customers. Dealers who had been working successfully with the RM 90 in the past once again showed great interest in this model. During the annual end of the year market analysis, it became clear that the increased demand is the result of a shift in the excavator weight classes: the market share of 11 to 12 tonne machine class has grown considerably. This weight class especially can benefit from the increased productivity of the RM90, says Globram.
Prior to its reintroduction this 650 kg (1,430 lb) breaker for 11-12 tonne carriers was redesigned to feature a completely new casing with noise absorbing coating and the Intelligent Breaker System, which is a fully automatic system that adjusts power and blow frequency based on the material to be broken.
