Thales Navigation Will Supply Icgrs internet enabled GPS reference stations as part of a project to create a nationwide GPS network in France by the end of 2005. The French chartered surveyors organisation (Ordre des Geometres Experts) is currently setting up the network, integrated with satellite geo-referencing, that will allow any user to position himself in real time to an accuracy down to several centimetres. The surveyors intend to share the network with other users, including the construction industry.
