Happy New Year from the ERA

08 January 2019

The ERA Secretariat wishes a wonderful and successful New Year to all the ERA Rental Weekly readers!

2019 will be another interesting year for the ERA.

Era

First, a major project for the equipment rental business will be finalised. This project will analyse the environmental impact of renting equipment and will be presented during the Annual Convention of ERA, on 15 and 16 May 2019. This will only be the beginning of a large promotional campaign on the environmental benefits of sharing equipment rather than owning it.

Also, during the Annual Convention, a new Board will be elected. The ERA Board of Directors is composed of between a minimum of five and a maximum of seven members. The board represents the various types of member and countries represented by the association.

2019 is another bauma year. As usual, ERA will be there. On 9 April, ERA will participate in the bauma FORUM 2019, a set of international presentations and discussions organised by VDMA. The topic of the conference will be digitalisation in the rental industry and it will be moderated by Murray Pollok, Managing Editor of IRN.

The five Committees and the Future Group are actively working on their different projects and, if you are an ERA member and you are interested in participating to their activities, please contact the ERA team at era@erarental.org.
