HERC to hire hundreds in North America

25 June 2012

Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC) is to hire hundreds of new employees in North America this summer and will hold two-day employment open houses at more than 50 of its locations on Tuesday 26 June and Wednesday 27 June.

The company is looking for a wide range of employees, including sales reps, mechanics, drivers and yard workers

"14% of Hertz's revenues are derived from HERC and over the past year we've been aggressively expanding," said Mark Frissora, Hertz chairman and chief executive officer.

"By hosting a two-day employment open house, we're aiming to fill key positions throughout the country which are needed to ensure we're able to efficiently run our operations".

The HERC depots that are hosting open days can be found online at http://hertz.jobs/hiringday.html.

HERC's announcement comes just weeks after H&E Equipment, another major rental company in the US, said it had initiated an "aggressive" recruitment programme in support of its rental expansion plans.
