Offshore crane and equipment manufacturer MacGregor has won an order for new cranes worth more than €25 million (US$ 26 million).

The order is for 40 units of 75 tonne capacity general cargo cranes. They will be mounted on ten 84,500 dwt multipurpose cargo vessels being constructed in Asia.

The cranes will be connected to the worldwide service support network. All will have an active safety system for secure operation.

Commenting on the deal Magnus Sjöberg, MacGregor senior vice president, merchant solutions, said, “I’m very proud of the confidence that the shipyard has shown in choosing us to supply cranes for this important project. We look forward to providing our customer with our high-class equipment and services.”

Deliveries will start in the fourth quarter of 2024 and continue until the first quarter of 2026.
