Hospitality giant IHG is to build a new 250-bed hotel at the Oxagon coastal industrial city in Saudi Arabia’s special economic zone of NEOM.

The Hotel Indigo property will sit in Oxagon’s first residential community and is scheduled to open in 2026.

Oxagon will be home to a research and innovation campus and what its developers claim will be a sustainable port with a fully automated and integrated supply chain.

IHG, which has 6,000 hotels worldwide, currently operates 37 hotels across five brands in Saudi Arabia.

Oxagon is one of several ambitious new developments within NEOM, alongside the 170km-long linear city, The Line, island resort Sindalah, and winter and adventure sports destination Trojena.
