The 70 tonne capcity SCX700E crawler crane

New from Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane Co (HSC) in Japan is a 70 tonne capacity crawler crane.

The SCX700E is a scaled-up version of the 55 tonne capacity SCX550E. New features of the lattice boom crane include simple hydraulic and electrical systems and a lifting capacity of 70 tonnes at 3.7 metres radius, the company said.

The crane has a minimum basic boom length of 12 m and a maximum boom length of 54 m. It also includes a simplified winch system, a secondary boom hoist limiting device, an automated drum lock and a 1,040 mm wide operator cabin.
