Hyundai customer event at Nolgonda, Andhra Pradesh, India

Hyundai Construction Equipment held its first ‘road show' at Nolgonda, Andhra Pradesh in India this month. The Korean construction equipment manufacturer has embarked on a series of customer events throughout India to promote the product line that it's now manufacturing in the country.

At the first event, the company demonstrated its new R210-7 excavator, developed specifically for the Indian market. As well as demonstrations, local construction professionals were invited to take the controls themselves, to get a hands-on feeling for the equipment.

"The R210-7 excavator is a very interesting machine," said Kanayat Narashimha Rao of Granite Construction. "I was particularly impressed by the excellent fuel efficiency of this new model."

Hyundia Construction Equipment opened a manufacturing facility in India last November, and now that ‘localised' equipment is flowing off the production lines, the company is committed to running a series of positive promotional activities to gain a strong presence in the Indian construction market.
