Sinopec 10, a subsidiary of Chinese petrochemical giant Sinopec, has used Manitowoc Crane Care’s Mobile Training Unit in Shandong Province, Eastern China. The MTU is a standard 40 foot shipping container fitted out with computers and electronic crane systems, including: EPIC and Can-bus systems for Manitowoc crawler cranes; PAT systems for Grove rough terrain cranes; EKS/ECOS software for Grove all terrain cranes; and hydraulic and electronic component maintenance simulation software. More than 40 crane technicians signed up for courses that are offered at several levels, including an advanced programme.
