UsConstruction of the 44 storey Regatta apartment tower in Chicago, US is being fast tracked by main contractor James McHugh through first use of Peri's Climbing Protection Panel (CPP). The CPP system creates a screen around the upper two floors during construction, protecting the work from the high winds, which can be a problem on Chicago sites, and creating a safer environment for workers. Construction on Regatta is being carried out on a three day cycle and as construction progresses, the CPP is craned up to the next level along with the other formwork elements. A self climbing version of the system is also expected to make its debut in Chicago when James McHugh starts work on the Trump Tower in March.
