The 2015 IPAF Summit, March 26 near Washington D.C., will focus on how new and existing technlogies in the access industry will change the face of the market over the next five to 10 years.

Speakers include keynote presenter Frank Nerenhausen, president of JLG, who will discuss emerging technologies and their potential applications in the access industry in his talk Gimmicks or the Next Reality. Norty Turner, CEO of Riwal, will report on rental operations in emerging powered access markets.

The IPAF Summit is held during the day before the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs). Attendance at the IPAF Summit is free - with registration required - while the evening IAPA awards requires a ticket, which can be booked online at www.iapa-summit.info The 'early bird' rate for the IAPA awards is available until Friday February 27.

Stefan Ponea, CEO of Industrial Access, Romania, will show how new technology is being used to combat old fashioned crime; and OSHA's Jordan Barab, deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Labor, will provide an update on OSHA's program to prevent falls from height.

Other Summit speakers include Audrey Courant from Ducker Research, who will present IPAF’s latest research into the size of the AWP/MEWP rental sector and IPAF’s forecasts for the coming year; Joanne Ulnick, CEO of Ducker Worldwide, will talk about the impact of market dynamics on rental companies; and sharing her journey to uncover new powered access markets will be Sibel Aygül, marketing and sales manager at Up Makine from Turkey.
The morning session will be devoted to a range of current topics in the powered access industry, ranging from the Smart PAL Card and the impact of new legislation and standards, to eLearning and how to prevent fatal injuries when working near power lines.
