JLG Industries chose ConExpo to promote the re-branding all of its customer support services under the JLG Ground Support banner and to show its new telematics system.

Ground Support replaces previously used distinct names such as ServicePlus, PartsPlus, TrainingPlus and Access Financial Solutions.

David Baxter, director of marketing, aftermarket products and services, told Access International; “We have a lot of services, and they were all marketed individually. We have good service operations and aftermarket focused sales personnel, but each group had its own brand, and were not well enough connected to JLG.”

JLG Ground Support will now operate as the umbrella brand for all the JLG services; “It's not just aftermarket services”, said Mr Baxter, “it includes financial services – things we do before the sale. It's all the things we do on the ground to keep you in the air.”

JLG is meanwhile to call its new telematics solution ClearSky. (See our full report in the March issue of AI.)
