Industrial pick and carry crane manufacturerer JMG Cranes has launched what it describes as its new flagship product: the MC580 with battery-electric power.

Capable of lifting up to 58 tonnes, the Italian company describes its new MC580 as being "compact with great performance”. It has removable counterweights for ease of transport and a hydraulic telescopic boom that extends to increase the crane’s capacities. This versatility is enhanced through the addition of an extendible rear axle.

Designed to appeal to operators, the cabin has a 7” (178 mm) colour display showing all relevant electronic load and time limiter system information, including: the load lifted; the maximum load to be lifted; the tilting percentage; the operating range; the angle and boom extension. These displays are all accompanied by a series of warning lights indicating the operating status. There are, of course, cameras for increased visibility.

Although pick and carry mobile cranes do not usually feature without outriggers, this crane has font outriggers that can be removed by the operator, without additional assistance.
