United Kingdom-based L Lynch Plant Hire – which supplies customers in the demolition sector throughout England, Wales and Scotland – has bought more than 150 crawler and wheeled excavators from Doosan Construction Equipment.

The order, including several newly launched LC-5 Stage IV compliant excavators, was secured by Promac Solutions, Doosan’s authorised dealer for south east England.

The excavators become part of a 24-hour plant rental service that serves sectors such as civil engineering, utilities and rail engineering as well as demolition.

Merrill Lynch, director at L Lynch Plant Hire, said: “With our new headquarters now established at Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire and depots recently opened in Cheshire, Kent and Somerset, we are an expanding business that has grown 20% year on year since 2009.

“The speed of response offered by Doosan is key to achieving our business goals of ‘meeting hire demands’, so the level of service we offer is the highest possible in every aspect of our business.

“With the arrival of the new LC-5 machines from Doosan, we hope to offer even more fuel savings and operational benefits for our customers, which with the Doosan Stage IIIB machines included fuel savings of £50-100 (US$76-151) a week.”
