Liston ‘knocked out’ by Lehnhoff Quickcoupler

25 February 2016

A British specialist demolition contractor has become the latest company to invest in the Lehnhoff Variolock fully automatic Quickcoupler system.

Liston Group, based in Birmingham, made the decision following a visit to Lehnhoff’s German manufacturing site at the invitation of Sean Heron, managing director of UK distributor Worsley Plant.

Tony McLean, the owner of the Liston Group, takes up the story.

“The Lehnhoff factory really opened our eyes. The research and development that goes into making the products is out of this world and the techniques Lehnhoff uses are way ahead of anyone else.

“In addition it is specifically designed for demolition, due to the flows required by the equipment, so fits the bill perfectly.”

Liston now has three Quickcouplers and buckets working on its Volvo EC250 excavators. The company views the products as a long term investment, which will be refurbished and rebuilt at the Lehnhoff factory every three or four years, with no re-buy costs.

Andrew Purse, who covers the midlands for Worsley Plant, said: “Liston Group are a key customer for us. We felt it was important to show the technology behind the kit they were starting to invest in.

“As Lehnhoff are relatively new to the UK market we wanted them to be comfortable with their investment in this market leading technology.”

Liston Group said its next Lehnhoff purchase will be a high reach demolition rig – and it plans to fit a Lehnhoff Quickcoupler system to both the short and high reach arms to maximise productivity.

Tony McLean added: “We are saving time and money on all our jobs and it has been well worth the investment.

“Working with Worsley Plant has ensured we have the right tools for the job and can achieve our targets more easily.”
