Loxam Power provides air compressors for Koniambo Nickel SAS.

Loxam Power is exporting two air compressors to New Caledonia in the south west Pacific Ocean to work at a metallurgical complex.

Koniambo Nickel SAS is building a metallurgical complex near Koné (capital of the Northern Province, located 270km northwest of Nouméa), on the Vavouto site. When production reaches full capacity the Oceania archipelago could become one of the largest nickel producers in the world.

Koniambo Nickel SAS wanted to "rent air," so two Loxam Power non-lubricated air compressors, of 2500m³ per unit, with air-dryers, have left, by ship, for a journey of nearly 17000km.

Loxam Power said that this most recent application together with work carried out in South Africa, Guadeloupe and Guyana "confirms its potential to export its know-how and meet the most demanding requirements, anywhere in the world."
