Access rental company Loxam is to receive the first Palfinger P480 aerial platform in the UK from UK Palfinger distributor SkyKing.

The P480 is the first model in the Jumbo Class NX range and was launched at Apex in September 2014. It has a working height of 48 metres and an outreach of 31.5 m. Its gross weight is within 18 tonnes on a two axle chassis. The P480 has an X-jib, providing the access platform with 240 degrees movement radius. In addition, it has 400 degree (2 x 200 degree) workman basket rotation.

Loxam has ordered three units of the P480, each fitted to a MAN TGM 18.290 chassis. The order is worth around £1 million.
