The company chose to add several of Komatsu’s PC138US, PC210LC and PC360LC excavators to its offerings, using the UK Komatsu distributor for the deal.

Ardent said it aimed to grow its excavator fleet by 800 units this year, with its offerings now reaching as big as 36 tonnes.

Great availability of the machines, along with their competitive pricing and delivery times were said to be key factors in Ardent choosing Komatsu, while the inclusion of Komatsu Care – a 3 year warranty – was also seen as a plus point.

Anuj Patel, head of marketing at Ardent, said, “Ardent recognise that their customers want to hire reliable, compliant machines, because that gives their customer one less thing to worry about.

“Hirers want to feel reassured that their machinery supplier can meet – if not exceed – all their health & safety standards and will not break down. That’s why we only work with premium manufacturers such as Komatsu – for peace of mind that the equipment is safe and compliant, but also that it’s reliable.”
