Two Italy-based firms, Marcegaglia and Maber have entered into an agreement to develop and distribute a range of transport platforms for personnel and materials with a load capacity of up to 2,000 kg.

Marcegaglia is a global group specialised in steel processing but with a key presence in the building sector. Maber manufactures and supplies lifting systems for civil and industrial building sites.

The new range will be marketed under the combined trademark ‘Marcegaglia – manufactured by Maber’. This will allow Marcegaglia to complete its range of construction equipment, which already includes scaffolding systems, temporary structures, shoring systems, provisional site fencing and building hoists. The agreement will also enable Maber to position itself alongside a global partner in the sector for the distribution of its products.

Both companies will be exhibiting together at Bauma 2013 in Munich, Germany this week.
