Masahiko Murayama is new Nikken president

Nikken Corporation, one of Japan’s biggest rental companies, has appointed executive vice president Masahiko Murayama as president and CEO.

The appointment of Mr Murayama, who succeeds Masaki Kurita in the post, will be confirmed at Nikken’s board meeting on 10 June.

Mr Murayama has more than 30 years experience in industrial equipment and construction machinery, having started with Mitsubishi in 1980.

Masaki Kurita remains as an advisor to Nikken’s international operations.

Nikken’s rental revenues in 2014 were more than €600 million, and the company has nearly 200 depots in six countries.
