MEC Aerial Work Platforms has introduced a scissor series designed for rugged use. The Rough Terrain 91 series includes the model 2591RT, 3391RT and 4191RT.

“The new MEC 91 Series has true rough terrain–ability that is boosted by the Quad–Trax 4WD Power needed to briskly transport the MEC RT scissor to and from each job, even when the climate conditions are not ideal,” said Jim Tolle, MEC president.

In each model, the oscillating rear axle has a full 12 inches of ground clearance. Working heights are 31 feet for the 2591RT, 39 feet for the 3391RT and 47 feet for the 4191RT. When the 48 inch roll–out deck is fully extended, the platform measures 180 inches in length by 91 inches in width. Platform capacities are 2,000 pounds on the 2591RT, 1,500 pounds on the 3391RT and 1,000 pounds on the 4,191RT.

All three models feature extra large platforms with rating capacities for four people plus work tools and materials. Maintenance access is a lift–up door at eye level with no need to raise the platform or swing out trays. All three models are powered by either a Kubota DF752 Dual Fuel (gasoline and liquid propane) engine or a Kubota D1105 Diesel engine. Gradeability is 45% and inside turning radius is 76 inches.
