In November 2008 UK training specialist, Mentor, took over the Materials Handling Training Centre on the Corus site in Redcar, Teesside. Following refurbishment the centre has recently opened.

The centre has a training area of over 20000 sq ft and four classrooms allowing for a range of courses to be scheduled to take place at any one time.

Mentor is IPAF accredited, and the 40 ft clear internal height allows access platform training to take place inside whatever the weather.

As well as access platform training, Mentor offers courses on fork lift trucks, overhead cranes, manual handling, safety awareness and slinging and signaling.

Mentor also opened a new Scottish training centre o in early December where it carries out a full range of fork lift truck operator and instructor training courses.
