German crane and transport company Merkel Autokrane has added a 50 tonne capacity Tadano Faun ATF 50G-3 all terrain crane to its rental fleet.

"Since we expanded our fleet with the used ATF 65G-4 crane in 2011, we have been impressed by the quality of Tadano cranes", said Günther Merkel, Merkel Autokrane managing director. In 2012 Merkel added an ATF 50-3, ATF 65G-4 and an ATF 220G-5.

The new 50 tonner has a 40 m boom. It can carry 7 tonnes of counterweight, a 32 tonne hook block, 6 tonne swivel hook and a jib, or main boom extension, of 9/16 m within the 12 tonnes per axle load limit.

Merkel Autokrane has branches in Schlüsselfeld, Bamberg, Nuremberg and Burgkunstadt.
