A new version of Michelin's all terrain wheeled mobile crane tyre is designed to offer longer life, cooler running and easier fitting.

While the X-Crane+ uses the same tread pattern as its predecessor, the X-Crane, it has a redesigned casing, modified bead design and revised rubber compound. Life of the tyre is increased by up to 15% over its predecessor, Michelin said.

For the UK market, where axle loads higher than in the rest of the EU are permitted, the cooler running feature will be particularly beneficial.

It is available in 445/95 R 25 size from June 2012.
