Heidelberg cement has announced it is to sell its dry mortar business, maxit Group, to Saint Gobain for € 2,13 billion. The company had sales of € 1,2 billion last year, and employs 5130 people in 30 countries. The maxit product portfolio includes wall, floor, ceiling and tiling products, as well as 'exclay' lightweight aggregates.
