Japan-based manufacturer Nagano has launched an upgraded version of its large basket Z11Auj aerial platform.

The new version of the 11m working height crawler-mounted telescopic boom lift has a basket capacity of 600kg and the ability to work on a five degree slope with a full load. It can also slew to 360 degrees.

Ideally suited to work in tunnels, the Z11Auj has a basket length of 3.15m and width of 2.05m, while the telescopic boom has a 6m outreach. The machine’s total weight is 9140kg and it is driven by a Kubota D1305 diesel engine. Standard features include secondary guarding, fire resistant coating, oscillating roller and easy access to filters.

European distributor Vertimac helped design the upgraded model and will be the only company to initially offer it when it becomes available at the beginning of next year. The Z11Auj joins two other Nagano models at Vertimac; the 20ATuj articulating boom lift and S15Auj telescopic boom.

Last month, powered access rental specialist JMS became the first operator in the UK to add Nagano crawler boom lifts to its hire fleet.
