A new range of tower cranes is available from Spanish manufacturer Linden Comansa.

The six new models in the flat top LC 1100 series replace the 1000 and 5211 series.

The 11 LC 90 in 5 and 6 tonne maximum load versions is available from July and the other four models will be available from September. These will be the 5 and 6 tonne capacity versions of the 11 LC 132, and the 11 LC 150 and 11 LC 160, both 8 tonnes capacity. Maximum radius ranges from 52.5 m to 65 m and jib-end load is from 1.2 to 1.7 tonnes.

The new modular crane series is easier to erect because the hoisting and slewing systems and the electrical cabinets are pre-installed at the factory prior to delivery. Erection is further improved by having a slewing structure that is lighter than the one in the previous series.

All models in the LC 1100 series have two slewing motors to reduce stress on the crown. They also get two hoist motors and more rope capacity on the winch drums which allows greater hook height. The single or single and double trolley system with automatic changeover controlled from the operator cab is to adapt the crane to different loads and increase working efficiency. Jib sections are available in 2.5 m lengths to increase the range and load combination possibilities.

Linden Comansa is looking both at domestic and export markets for the new series.
