Talbert’s new 65 ton trailer has been design for flexibility and durability

US speciality trailer supplier Talbert Manufacturing has introduced the new 2+3+2 65 ton (59 tonne) HRG East Coast Trailer with a unique flip extension that accommodates a tandem-axle jeep dolly. This allows it to be used across the USA at full rating, with the hydraulic goose neck trailer ideal for use in a range of applications, such as construction, heavy hauling and on oilfields.

The new unit has been design so that a tag- or pin-on axle can be added to the jeep to provide a 3+3+2 axle configuration to allow users to maintain axles that are legal to scale the payload. It features 144 cm (60 in) axle spacing, with an airlift on axle three and a chain lift on axle one, two, four and five, and can run with three, four or five axles in a row without the booster.

The HRG provides a 8.5 m (28 ft) deck length and is rated for 65 tons in any 4.3 m (14 ft) deck section varying in type from beam to drop side. The loaded deck height is 55.2 cm (23 in) and the deck width is 2.6 m (8.5 ft).
