Skyjack has extended the sphere of influence of Brad Boehler: previously vice president of engineering, Mr Boehler has added vice president of sales and marketing to his job title.

Mr Boehler was enthusiastic about the new sales and support offices being opened in the developing markets. China will be opened in a few weeks, an Australian office is already in operation and the Brazilian office will open in June.

On Tuesday morning at the show, Joe Chaves, vice president of operations had met with representatives from Brazilian rental company Mills in respect of a long term arrangement.

In terms of product development the SJ16 vertical mast machine was still not in evidence and Mr Boehler said that they were not prepared to bring it to the market until they were entirely happy with it - we can expect to see it at APEX in September.

Skyjack is investing substantially in product development - gradually ramping up staffing in that department by 30 people.
