Marty Coughlin, the former president of Waco Scaffolding & Equipment, has started a new scaffolding company; Dependable Scaffolding, LLC.

Coughlin formed the Ohio-based scaffold rental, erection and national sales company after Safway Services, LLC acquired Waco in November 2011. He is joined by Kelly Coughlin and Rached Karanouh.

Dependable Scaffold will focus on niche, East-coast projects and solutions including rehabilitation, reshoring, small commercial sites and some industrial work, Coughlin told Access, Lift & Handlers at World of Concrete in January.

"The timing is right," Coughlin said. "It'll be a better year this year than last year. Right now we are lining up suppliers."

According to Coughlin, Dependable Scaffold will carry both domestic and imported products.

Safway Services, LLC acquired Waco Scaffolding & Equipment in November 2011 as part of Waco's bankruptcy proceedings. Safway Services saw revenues of $765 million in 2010 and Waco's revenues were $37 million, according to Access, Lift & Handlers' 2011 Scaffold20 list.
