The boom, which marks Allan Access's re–entry into boom manufacturing, will mount on any 3.5 t carrier.

The unit, shown at the recent Vertikal Days show in the UK, is the first to be produced and uses a Ford Transit.

The 400 kg vehicle payload of the model, according to company owner Phil Allan (also pictured), overcomes a previous limitation of 3.5 t van mounts. He said that feature, coupled with the speed of positioning because of the absence of outriggers, will make the PL12 “a popular model”, particularly with municipalities and street light maintenance contractors.

Delivery is eight weeks, subject to vehicle availability.
