Boels Rentals in The Netherlands has further expanded its Belgian operation with two acquisitions. In October it bought Amso Renting of Oudenaarde and in November added Stokmans Machine Verhuur in Lommel. The acquisitions – the prices of which were not disclosed – follow the acquisition in May of De Block-Lambin, another small Belgian rental company. Boels now has 11 rental locations in Belgium, but said it planned to open a further five in the near future, and aims to increase that to 30 depots in total by the end of 2008. Boels now 166 branches and almost 1000 rental points at home improvement centres in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.
