A new heavy-duty hydraulic hammer has joined the Montabert range (available in North America under the Tramac name) in the shape of the V2500 for carriers weighing 27-40 tons. With an operating weight of 2,520 kg (5,544 lb), the V2500 requires an oil flow in the 175-250 litres/min range, with a maximum blow rate of 500 bpm. Designed for customers that do not require full BRV technology, the V2500 is available in a soundproofed version as standard with plastic pads on all four sides of the soundproof casing. The housing is heavy duty, with the lower section made from heat-treated cast steel. It also has reinforced suspension to reduce vibration transmission to the carrier.
