08 May 2008

For 2004, Italian loader crane manufacturer Fassi Gru reported a 15 % increase in turnover over 2003 to € 106.7 million. Managing director Giovanni Fassi explained, “I think that 2005, for Fassi Gru, will be a very important step in its company's history. In these first months market confirms brilliant results we have reached in 2003 and 2004, constantly growing up in relation of sales and turnover. After 2003 with a turnover of € 93.3 million, Fassi Gru in 2004 grew up, with around six thousand cranes sold and a turnover of € 106.7 million (up more than 15 % on 2003).”

Fassi attributes the results to several factors: his company's policy regarding the introduction of new products; its development of electronic machine controls; its commercial policy with the consolidation of its operations in highly industrialized countries; and its entrance into new strong growth areas.

Fassi points out that its 2003 lifting sales figure is € 93.3 million ($ 120.5 million), not US$ 62 million as stated in the IC m20 listing of the world's largest manufacturers of cranes published in the November 2004 issue.
