OHL's revenues grew +9.5% to € 4,39 billion last year. The company's net profit also rose, with a +9.9% increase to € 166 billion.

Although the company saw a downturn in its domestic construction activities, due to what it saw as a -21,5% decline in Spanish construction output, it saw strong growth in its concessions and international construction activities.

As a result, it generated some 59% of its revenues and 88% of its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBIDTA) were generated outside Spain last year. Tellingly, some 86% of its order book is also abroad.

Looking ahead to 2010, the company expects to see a further +10% rise in revenues and profits, although it said it might sell some non-strategic assets.
